Peggy Struckmeyer


Soprano II
Peggy was born in Columbus, Ohio in the shadow of the shoe, graduated from Ohio State University and is an avid Buckeye. She spent two decades as an elementary school teacher and taught in Ohio, Wyoming and Florida. While in Wyoming, she obtained a graduate degree in music education. She moved to Sarasota in 1974. After leaving the teaching profession she worked for several years in the non-profit sector and for Comcast Cable, first as a Customer Account Executive and then as a Call Center Supervisor, which took her to Indianapolis, IN for several years. Her fourth career move came when she moved back to Sarasota and joined Edward Jones Investments as a Branch Office Administrator.
Hobbies: Peggy is a gourmet cook and loves to having friends over for dinner parties, weekly tennis games, daily walks and swimming. She prefers a good book over TV, live theater over movies and listening to classical music. She loves to travel and participate in Pueblo Ingles', an English immersion program that allows her to spend a week in Spain. She is on the Board of Directors for the Sarasota-Manatee Alumnae Club of the Ohio State University. She never misses a Buckeye football game and enjoys spending time with her three beautiful granddaughters.
