David and his partner of 48 years Paul (Paul died in 2005) located to Sarasota in 1995 from Ft. Lauderdale.
Originally from Philadelphia, PA, David has been a member of the chorus since its formation in 1997 and held the position of President for 4 years. David attended Wyoming Seminary where he majored in Music and Theology. He attended Southwestern college on a music scholarship. He also served in the U.S. Army.
David relocated to Florida from Philadelphia where he was the Executive Vice President of a major marketing and advertising agency. He was responsible for the marketing and media for the McDonald's Corporation in the Northeast. He was one of 7 executives who served on McDonald's Corporation National Board of Media Directors. David received the McDonald's Marketing Achievement Award.
He has been involved with SunCoast Cathedral MCC in Venice where he served as Vice Moderator and is currently a Deacon and Lay Delegate. David received the "Ambassador Award " from the Metropolitan Community Churches Commission of the Laity.
In the past he was President of ALSO Out Youth, Served on the Boards of Sarasota Unity Leadership, Pride Fest and a member of PFLAG. David recently received the 2008 "Robert E. Pierce Community Award" from the Church of the Trinity for his leadership, support and as an advocate for our community.
