Polly Bennett

Soprano I (2007)
Polly was born in Fort Myers and lived in Florida until she was 8 years old, at which time her family moved to the Metropolitan area of Washington, DC, settling in Arlington, VA. She loved living there because there were so many things to do – museums, theaters, the mountains of Virginia, and the ocean in Maryland. Polly claims to have been a ‘choir’ kid in school but after graduation she stopped singing. She married young, worked in the Pentagon for several years, lived in Iceland for 2 years, had 2 sons, both grown now and musically inclined. Polly moved back to Florida in 1993 as a single parent. After 30 years of not singing, a friend convinced her to join DIVERSITY; she is glad she did! Polly now has someone special in her life and is thankful for her reminder to “sing loud and proud”.
Hobbies: Cooking and Reading.
Favorite Quote: "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."
